There is exactly one price for plug-in solar that comes from a document rather than from a seller. Here it is, with everything the document says about it.
From the DESNZ final stage impact assessment: plug-in solar devices "are currently available from around £400 - £600 or less for an 800W system in Europe, excluding any installation or other ancillary costs. This is equivalent to a price of around £500 - £750 per kW".

What a compliant kit costs in a British shop today, from a source we have checked. We have not done that work yet, and until we have, this site will not print a number.
There is a reason to be patient about it. Plug-in solar has been legal here for a matter of weeks. Early pricing in a brand new category tells you very little about what it settles at, and a price we published today would be quoted back at us for years.
